port credit Mississauga Real EstatePort Credit in southern Mississauga dates back to 1805. It was it's own community untill 1974 when i was incorporated into Mississauga. Port Credit is known for it's lakefront shops,restaurants and trails. Lakeshore Blvd. runs through the neighbourhood a stretch that is bustling on weekends. Agreat Farmers Market that runs through the summer is a very popular stop.

Official boundaries are the Adamson Estate in the east, Shawnmarr Rd in the west, Lake Ontario in the south, and the train tracks to the north.

Filled with parks, amenities and location of several waterfront redevelopments Port Credit can be considered the heartbeat of Mississauga.

Shopping is more of the small boutique and family stores and restaurants. Though you do have the Credi Landing Shopping Centre which consists more of the big box stores.

Transportation is good with the QEW closeby and Lakeshore takes you into Toronto. Busses are on thge mainstreet going to Kipling, Square1 and Toronto.

Port Credit real estate can be some of the most expensive in Mississauga. Location is the value as it is some of the most sought after real estate. A real mixture of detatchedhomes mostly smaller than neighbouring Lorne Park. We now find many custom built homes on smaller lots.

Most homes are charming on a beautiful tree lined streets leading to the lake. Despite the charm you can still find homes relatively affordable. Port Credit lakefront offers luxury condo buildings and units with incredible views.

Most of the detached homes were built in the 1940's and 50's, though many have been updated and were infills. Semi's are rare but there are a few investors built splitting a lot. Townhouses are in the south. Detached homes average about 2 million, Semis are closer to $1,800,000, Townhouses for just below 2 million and condos are close to a million.
