Meadowvale is a large neighbourhood in the north Western area of Mississauga. With a population over 75,000 Meadowvale is one of the larger neighbourhoods in Mississauga. Most of the development happened post 1970. The plan for Meadowvale was a mixing of residential and business areas. It was to be a self sustained community. Meadowvale has grown into a wonderful family friendly neighbourhood.The boundaries of Meadowvale are Erin Mills to the East, Tenth Line to the West, Highway 401 to the North and Britannia Road to the South.
Transportation is great with Meadowvale being surrounded by Highways. Public transit is average but busses run on all the main streets.
There is a great deal to do in Meadowvale starting with their Community Centre which hosts a library, Gym, Pool and meeting rooms. Meadowvale Community Centre offers many programs for all to enjoy. There is also the Meadowvale 4 Rinks for all your skating and hockey amusements.
An abundance of greenspace is found within the community of small parks and trails but also Lake Aquitaine and Lake Wabukayne offering trails and wildlife for all.
Shopping and restaurants are in abundance on the main streets but most flock the the Meadowvale Town Centre.

Meadowvale was a planned community so the types of housing varied from all the condos near Lake Aquitaine to the pockets of townhouses and semis to detached homes and luxury homes. Most lots are a good size and most detached and towns are 3 and 4 bedroom homes with decent backyards though the houses tend to be smaller for Mississauga. Most homes were built in the 1970's and early 1980's. The average price for a home is under 1 million dollars. Condo prices tend to be very affordable averaging almost $725,000. Detached Homes Average $1,150,000, Semis $971,500 and Townhouses average $900,000.
